Planning permission granted for new community astro pitch in Arigna

Arigna in Roscommon has received planning permission for a new state of the art community astro turf pitch.

The Arigna Recreation & Enhancement Association had applied to Roscommon County Council for the pitch along with new changing rooms. a new play area and walking track.

Also included in the permission is all associated floodlighting and fencing around the amenity.

The pitch will be located at Derreenavoggy in Arigna and was approved with 13 conditions attached.

One such condition requires the floodlighting to be turned off no later than 10pm.
