Planning permission has been granted for repair works to a historic Longford Building.
Longford County Planners have approved plans for works at the Temperance Hall at the junction of Dublin and New Street in Longford Town.
The well known community building was constructed 1905 and refurbished in 2004.
Plans for the repairs include works on the roof and the replacement of the existing cast iron gutters with cast aluminum where required.
The application was approved with 8 conditions attached, one including that the finishes on the protected building following the work should be in keeping with the historic nature of the building.
