Roscommon County Council has granted d conditional planning permission for a multi-million euro solar farm in the south of the county.
The project involves the erection of solar panels across just over 160 acres of land in the Taduff West, Taduff East, Creagh and Curraghalee townlands in the Drum area.
It's estimated that construction will take up to six months to complete and 30 jobs would be created during that time.
The developers say the farm will generate enough power for around 10,000 homes.
A decision was originally expected in March of this year but the council sought further information on the project.
It's understood that 20 conditions are attached to the permission.
