Planning permission is being sought from Leitrim County Council for the installation of an ATM in Drumshanbo.
The application has been submitted by the Irish branch of Euronet 360 Finance Ltd for the infrastructure to be placed outside of the local credit union.
The town was left without a 24 hour ATM this month following the closure of the local Bank of Ireland branch and the removal of their cash point services.
The closure was one of 88 across the national as part of BOI's move towards online focuses banking.
Euronet 360 Finance Ltd is also currently progressing a similar planning application in Granard, Longford for the ATM to be located outside of the Credit Union in the centre of town.
Leitrim county planners will make their decision on the Drumshanbo application in December.
