Planning permission is being sought for a major Ballaghaderreen town regeneration project.
The Bealach Nua development is set to be located on the Fairs & Market Site in the town centre and would be a mixed use development.
It'll focus on integrating economic, infrastructural, social, and educational sectors into Ballaghaderreen.
The project would see remote working spaces, a multi-media production hub along with community and education focuses at the Market-Chapel Street site.
In an application to Roscommon County Planners, An Bealach Nua CLG is seeking to construct to interconnected blocks, a public realm plaza and car/bus parking spaces.
According to plans, Block A would be a two storey building including the community education development and remote working spaces.
Block B would contain multi-media production facilities and a total combined floor area of 2,400 square metres.
The project would also include partial demolition of parts of the protected wall bounding St. Nathy's College for the creation of 3 pedestrian gated openings in the protected wall as well as a vehicular entrance.
Funding has been allocated to the project in it's earlier stages from the Rural Regeneration Development Fund.
