Planning permission lodged for major works at Athlone car dealership

Permission is being sought to construct a new motor vehicle service facility in Athlone.

Michael Moore Car Sales Ltd is requesting the demolition of a derelict dwelling and the construction of 4 ancillary buildings to facilitate its motor and valeting services.

Also included in the application is the provision of an access road off the N62, along with car parking, signage and flag poles, and the installation of a drainage system.

The permission will be decided on by Westmeath County Council by the end of September.
