Planning permission refused for potential new Longford Town apartments

The applicant was refused planning permission by Longford County Council for a similar development in May.

Plans for a new apartment building on Longford's Market Square have been refused for a second time.

Mynah Unlimited had applied to redevelop a site on the Market Square in the town that had previously been designated as a hotel/retail development.

The plans for the four storey apartment building include 10 two bed apartments and private open spaces provided in the form of balconies.

The proposed development also includes elevation alterations, bin and bike storage and all associated site works.

The applicant was refused planning permission by Longford County Council for a similar development in May.

Local planners have now refused the new application under three conditions.
