Planning permission is being sought for the construction of a new cricket pitch and club house in Mullingar.
The local cricket club has applied for the permission at Cullionmore in the town.
The development would include a pitch with practice net area and a new clubhouse including changing rooms with showers.

Also included in plans for the club house is office, storage and kitchen areas along with an umpire changing room containing a shower.
Westmeath planners will decide on the application in October.
