Planning has been granted for a new development at a Co. Leitrim national school.
The board of management at St. Patrick's National School in Drumshanbo had applied for planning for works at the school on the Ballinamore Road.
The proposed development includes a new single storey extension which would see two new classrooms and the removal of existing prefabricated classrooms.
The board of management also want to construct a new unisex Toilet/Shower for Assisted Users in the school.
There are also plans to convert an existing classroom into a Special Educational Needs room and the provision of a sensory garden.
The plans were granted by Leitrim County Council with six conditions attached.
