Michael Moore Car Sales Ltd is requesting the demolition of a derelict dwelling and the construction of 4 ancillary buildings.

An application for the construction of 130 new residential units was granted by An Bord Pleanála this week.

The permission was granted with 5 conditions attached.

The 115 square metre extension would include a new classroom

The plans inlcude a new all-weather pitch, as well as gardens and an extension to a community walkway

Roscommon County Council will decide on the issue in September.

The refusal was referred to An Bord Pleanála by Eircom, where the higher planning body reversed the decision of the local authority.

The permission was granted with 9 conditions attached including a planning contribution of €32,500.
