The development of sports infrastructure in Roscommon has received a boost this week following progress on a number of local club projects.
The Lisnamult Residents & Community Association have gotten the go ahead to construct a spectator stand at their pitch at the local Sports Park.
The structure would be located along the soccer pitch with the application also including all associated site works.
Roscommon county planners approved the plans with 2 conditions attached.
Meanwhile in Knockcroghery, St. Dominic's GAA Club is seeking permission for the relocation and replacement of perimeter fence to the main pitch, the realignment of bottom steps on the spectator stand and the provisional of additional car parking spaces.
Also included in the application is new flood lighting for the pitch and the relocation of the existing ball wall on grounds.
County planners will decide on the application in May.
