An application seeking permission to construct 20 houses and a primary care centre in a county Longford village has been denied by local planners.
Ferghal Sheridan had submitted the application for the development at Chapel Lane in Edgeworthstown.
The homes would have included 4 single storey two bedroom homes and 16 two storey 3 bedroom homes.
A new primary healthcare building, new road access, parking and green spaces were also included in the plans.
Irish Water had requested further information over the feasibility of the developments connection to local sewage and water supply.
Longford planners refused the application this week.
