Planning permission has been denied for the construction of an apartment complex in Longford Town.
Mynah Unlimited had applied to redevelop a site on the Market Square in the town that had previously been designated as a hotel/retail development.
The plans for the four storey apartment building included 11 two bed apartments and private open spaces provided in the form of balconies.
The proposed development also included elevation alterations, bin and bike storage and all associated site works.
County planners refused the planning permission citing issues with car parking requirements and the lack of existing tourism accommodation.
