Planning permission has been sought for significant development at a County Roscommon school.
The Board of Management at Brideswell National School has applied for permission for the conversion of the existing three-classroom school building into a two-classroom Special Educational Needs base.
The development will also see the construction of a connecting single-storey mainstream three-classroom extension to the rear of the existing school.
The works will include an extension to the school, the demolition of an existing play shed, boiler house, and the removal of two prefabricated units.
The school is also seeking to install a new Astro-turf pitch as well as hard and soft play areas.
A decision is expected from Roscommon County Council on the 30th of November while submissions can be made until the 9th of November.
