A local GAA Club is seeking planning permission for a series of major developments at their grounds in Roscommon.
Founded in 1888, Elphin GAA are based at Orchard Park on Bishop Street.
Elphin GAA have applied to Roscommon County Council for the construction of a new two storey extension to the existing changing room, a new astro turf pitch and new dugouts.
The club are also hopeful to progress the replacement of the existing sloped standing area with a new tiered stand at Orchard Park in the town.
Plans also include the continuation of the existing community walkway to the site boundary in a concrete finish and the provision of low level lighting for the entirety of the path.
The well known GAA Club also hope to develop a sensory garden, community garden and a memorial wall at the GAA park.
Roscommon Planners will decide on the application in July.
