The managing director at Newcastle House Hotel outside Ballymahon says they're hopeful of being successful in a planning application for a €50 million euro holiday park.
Richard Heighton announced this week that they will be seeking permission to turn the historic period house and 44 acre estate into a family friendly Holiday Camp.
He maintains the project which would include a 1,000 seater restaurant and Food Hall would result in the creation of up to 300 jobs.
Newcastle House and estate is a close neighbour to the existing Centre Parcs holiday village but Richard Heighton says he doesn't believe that should be an issue in looking for planning permission.
