Planning sought for new Edgeworthstown communication mast

A planning application for the construction of a telecommunications mast in Edgeworthstwon has been lodged with Longford County Planners.

Vantage Towers LTD are seeking to construct the mast at Lisnanagh outside of the town.

The 24 metre lattice structure would hold a range of antennae, dishes and other associated telecommunications equipment.

Plans for the infrastructure would also include security fencing and an extension to the existing access track.

Local planners will make a decision on the application in October.
