Planning sought for new public fitness machines in Ballaghaderreen

Planning permission has been lodged for a new out door public fitness amenity in Ballaghaderreen.

Ballaghaderreen Community Park CLG is seeking to install exercise equipment and public lighting at Toomanagh near the town's GAA, Soccer and Cricket clubs.

The plans look for 12 outdoor fitness machines to be installed on the site along with 12 six metre high public lighting columns.

The light columns would be topped with energy efficient LED lanterns, with all ancillary site works and services also contained in the application.

Roscommon County Council will decide on the issue in September.
