Planning permission has been sought for the development of a new supermarket in County Roscommon.
MCS River Village Ltd plan to build the one-storey premises, which includes an ancillary off-licence, on a greenfield site in Monksland.
The development will have an overall floor space of 2,210 square metres and a sales area of 1,425 square metres
The site will also feature 127 parking spaces including four electric vehicle spaces, six parent and child spaces, and four accessible ones.
Planning documents submitted to Roscommon County Council state that up to 40 jobs could be created by the development.
The application is currently at the pre-validation stage and a decision is expected by the 21st of November.
