A planning application will be lodged in November for a new footbridge and lift at Dromod train station, Co Leitrim. Local Fianna Fáil councillor Sean McGowan has received the update from Iarnród Éireann.
He hopes, if planning is granted, work will get under way next year and the facilities will be open in 2026. Councillor McGowan says they are badly needed at the station:
