A former Drumlish publican hopes the development of new office space and apartments will be of huge economic benefit to the village.
Seamus Gallagher has been given the greenlight for the development of a remote working hub and six self-catering units at his former pub on St. Mary's Street.
The proposed change of use of the existing public house will see the creation of a reception, kitchen, meeting room and hot desks.
The local man believes the apartments will provide suitable accommodation for those wishing to visit the area.
He hopes work can begin on the project in 2024.
"Drumlish is thriving, there's a growing population. For instance, there's over 200 pupils in our national school, St Mary's. We feel that all we're lacking in Drumlish is accommodation and office space. We're looking to get the development started in early 2024. There will be a big spin off and hopefully it'll keep a lot of people local as well".
