Plans for a North Longford remote working hub have been overturned by the higher planning authority.
The application had been lodged for the transformation of an existing public house on St. Mary's Street in Drumlish, into the mixed use development.
Plans for the ground floor included a reception, kitchen/canteen area, office, meeting room, individual hub stations and hot desk sections, along with an accessible self-catering apartment.
While first floor level and attic would be transformed and extended to include 6 further self-catering apartments.

Seamus Gallagher received planning permission for the project from Longford County Council in October, with 9 conditions attached.
An appeal was lodged at the start of the year against the development by Brian McNamara and Owen Quinn, with concerns highlighted including a lack of car parking spaces, privacy issues with adjoining properties and an argument that the project would be an over development in the village.
The higher planning authority has now over ruled the council and refused permission for the development.
In its ruling it states that the development was not in keeping with proper planning and sustainable development of the area.
