Planning permission is being sought for a 150 metre wind energy turbine in Roscommon.
The plans submitted by Natural Forces Renewable Energy Limited call for the tower to be constructed at Kilcash bear Roscommon town.
The turbine would have a tip height of just over 149 metres, with an 81 metre high tower holding the blades.
Included in the application is the installation of a hardstanding area, underground cabling and a substation building.
The development would be surrounded by stock proof fencing and feature a internal site access track.
The applicants have prepared a Natura impact statement and are seeking an operational lifespan of 30 years for the turbine.
Roscommon County Council will decide on the issue in October.
