Plans have been lodged with Roscommon County Council this week for the construction of two telecommunications in the county.
Two separate applications submitted to county planners are now up for decision at Donamon and Roscommon Town.
Cignal Infrastructure Limited has applied for the construction a 33 metre-high multi-user lattice telecommunications structure at Ballindall Townland near Roscommon.
The structure would include a headframe and carry antennae and dishes enclosed within a 2.4 metre high palisade fence compound with associated ground equipment.
The application also includes the retention of permission for a new wall and gated entrance to access the site at Ballindall.
Separately, Eircom Ltd are seeking to build a 21 metre high monopole telecommunications structure together with antennas, dishes and associated telecommunications equipment at Donamon.
The construction would see the removal of the 15 metre high mast currently in place at the Eir Exchange.
Roscommon County planners will decide on both applications in November.
