A masterplan for the centre of Carrick-on-Shannon is to be developed by Leitrim County Council in 2022.
The local authority received funding of €100,000 under the government's town centre first scheme in recent weeks which will further enhance the town as almost two years of streetscape works will come to a finish in early January.
Plans for the county town will also be developed in conjunction with public consultation on the draft County Development Plan, which is set to get its first airing in February of 2022.
