Planning permission for a new hotel in Boyle is set to be lodged in the coming months.
The operators of the Drumanilra Organic farm are hoping to develop a 20-room boutique hotel on the site of their former Kitchen and cafe on Elphin street in the town.
Liam and Justina Gavin are currently in the middle of gutting the former KFC building in Carrick-on-Shannon where they plan to open the country's first organic food drive through.
Locals in the north Roscommon area have been hoping a hotel would locate in the area for several years, especially since the County Council bought the former Royal Hotel site and are in the midst of re-purposing it as an arts and community hub.
