Permission is being sought for the construction of 26 chalets at Drumhierny and Macken near Leitrim Village.
Plans have been lodged by Drumhienty Holdings Ltd to construct the accommodation at Drumhienry Lodge.
Chalets are common throughout the Alpine regions of Europe and are made of wood, with heavy, gently sloping roofs and wide supported eaves.
The development would see the construction of the units along with the restoration and change of use of the coach house to a reception area with stairs to the first floor, offices and toilets,
Plans also call for the creation of a recreational footpath and two car parks with a total of 25 car parking spaces.
Leitrim County planners are due to make a decision on the application at the start of June.
