It's hoped a proposed monument in South Roscommon will recognise the work of one of the county's best known GAA Stalwarts.
The village of Knockcroghery are working to erect a statue in honour of Jamesie Murray who captained All Ireland Winning teams in 1943 and 1944.
The statue in remembrance of the iconic footballer will be located at the village green and its hoped it will be put up in the next 12 to 14 months.
