Carrick Flood Action Group is calling for more work to be done to prevent another flood in the town.
Yesterday, we reported about a long-awaited flood relief scheme in Carrick-on-Shannon will go to planning next year.
The €26 million project will involve flood walls, embankments, and other defence measures in Carrick and Cortober.
It's designed to prevent a repeat of devastating flooding in 2009 and 2015.
Leitrim County Council chief executive, Joseph Gilhooly, says the project will go to planning next year.
Liam Farrell, from the Carrick Flood Action Group, says it's welcome.
But he has been telling Eoghan Murphy how other actions are also needed to prevent more devastation.
