Two political veterans pulled off remarkable comebacks to secure seats in Sligo-Leitrim.
Fianna Fáil's Eamon Scanlon and Independent TD Marian Harkin took the third and fourth seats respectively, who were elected on the 13th count.
The first two seats went to poll topper Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan and Sinn Fein TD Martin Kenny.
After Harkin and Scanlon were elected last night, they spoke to our reporter Eoghan Murphy at the count centre in the Clayton Hotel in Sligo town.
Eoghan also spoke to Marian's cousin, James Gilmartin, who is a councillor in north Leitrim.
He spoke of his relief when she was elected.
