PODCAST: The increasing number of Shannonside students going to third level

The average in Leitrim this year was 72 per cent, 68 per cent in Longford and 76 per cent in Roscommon.

Almost three in every four Leaving Cert students in the Shannonside region went on to third-level education this year.

The figure increased slightly from 2023, going from 71 per cent to 72 per cent.

The data is published in today's Irish Independent.
