Longford's well known Community Policing Sergeant, Darren Conlon, has made his last patrol of the town. Sergeant Conlon has been with An Garda Siochána for 23 years and has recently been managing a team of Gardaí with the goal of increasing community engagement and participation. The Mayo man is returning to his home county as part of staff transfers at Longford Garda Station. The former award winning boxer has been praised for his work building connections with different communities across the region.
