A popular charity and second hand furniture shop run by Longford Women's Link is to close later this month.
Willow Traders has operated at the Townparks Industrial Estate in Longford Town for over 7 years.
The shop raises funds for Longford Women's Link, a community based organisation and Social Enterprise based is Longford town that offers services including Early Years Childcare, Counselling, education, Domestic Violence Supports and Community Employment Services.
In a statement posted online today, Willow Traders say the impact of Covid 19 and the ongoing cost of living crisis has resulted in the decision to close their doors.
CEO of LWL, Tara Farrell says she is so grateful for the public support of the shop over the years:
''We've seen and I'm sure a lot of retail premises will have similar experience. we've seen a significant drop in sales, increase in utility costs and diesel costs, we hoped after covid there'd be an improvement, we haven't seen an improvement unfortunately so we just had to make the decision.''
