A popular Longford retailer will close its doors temporarily this weekend to facilitate the construction of a new state-of-the-art store. Lidl Longford will shut at 6pm this Saturday but the retailer says this won't affect jobs at the site. A statement from Lidl Ireland's Regional Property Director Brian Smyth confirmed the store team would be accommodated in neighbouring Lidl stores.
The retailer said the new-look store would be opened later this year and would offer customers a premier shopping experience with sustainability at its core. Lidl thanked the local community for its patience as refurbishment works commence and said it looks forward to welcoming shoppers at neighbouring stores.
