A popular north Roscommon restaurant has announced its closure.
The Open Table in Boyle first opened in 2014 however rising food and energy costs has had an impact on its operations.
Owner Martin Guihen also says the lingering effect of covid and reduced footfall made it difficult to continue.
The restaurant which was closed for holidays since Christmas announced today it would not be re-opening.
Speaking on Let's Talk earlier, Martin explained some of the challenges.
''Things have yet to come back to anywhere near pre-covid times. One product we had there was our lamb shank which was really popular and we would buy that in at about €3 but during the summer without notification that went up to €9.50 an we were still selling at €16 so it was costing us money when we took everything into account.''
