A post mortem examination is due to take place on the body of a woman discovered in Castlerea.
The woman, believed to be in her late teens, was discovered at the rear of a property on Patrick Street earlier this morning.
The body has been removed to University Hospital Galway where a post-mortem will be carried out; the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
