There's further progress on developing waterway amenities
along the Suck Valley Way.
The Ballintubber waterways project has received almost 8,000
euro from the National Lottery and Community Health West for kayaks and related
safety equipment for a tourism project in the area.
It's off the back of permission being granted for a slipway
and fishing dock onto the River Suck at Shankoagh.

Councillor Anthony Waldron who submitted the applications says it's another step in maximising the potential of the area:
