A Longford councillor is warmly welcoming positive news today about the radiology service at the St Joseph's campus, and replacement beds at the care unit.
Councillor Peggy Nolan says she was very happy to be told by her party colleague Senator Micheal Carrigy that the x-ray machinery should be replaced by the end of this year, and that the project to construct 43 replacement beds in a new-build on the campus has gone out to tender.
Senator Carrigy raised the issue in the Seanad this week.
Councillor Nolan says it appears the long awaited redevelopment of St Josephs is finally moving in the right direction.
She says there's also very good news regarding the development of new facilities at the Ballyminion primary care centre for disability and mental health services.
