A property has been identified in South Leitrim for a much-needed residential care home for people with disabilities. The news follows a meeting between the HSE, parents and politicians in the Bush Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon this afternoon. It was also revealed a respite care home in Carrick will go to tender in the first three months of next year. Fianna Fáil councillor Gary Prior says the property for the possible residential care home is in Fenagh.
Catherine Clerkin, from Drumshanbo, says her son will need residential care in the future.
