Property prices rose by 9.8 per cent in the year to October.
That's down from 10.7 per cent in September, according to the CSO.
The residential property price index increased by 9.8 per cent in the 12 months to October. That's a decrease on the year to September , when they increased 10.7 per cent.
Prices in Dublin were up 8.3 per cent, while outside the capital they went up by 11 per cent. There was a decrease of just under 1 per cent in the number of homes sold in October, compared to the same month last year.
The median price of a home bought in the year to October was €300,000. The lowest median price was €148,000 in Longford, while the highest was €620,000 in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
