An appeal was lodged last year, with An Bord Pleanála this week overturning the decision by Longford County Planners and refusing the planning permission.

The higher planning authority has overturned planning permission for a housing development in Longford.
Longford County Council granted permission to John & Sandra Conlon to construct 10 new houses in Mosstown, Kenagh earlier this year.
The homes would consist of 8 two bed terraced houses and 2 three bed semi-detached houses.

Also included in the application is an access point from the adjoining Deerpark estate, a green open space, boundary fences and connections to the existing sewer network.
Issues had been raided by residents in the Deerpark estate over traffic increases leading to road safety concerns.
An appeal was lodged last year, with An Bord Pleanála this week overturning the decision by Longford County Planners and refusing the planning permission.
Senior planners stated that the development ran the risk of detracting from the amenity of the existing residents.
