Westmeath County Council is proposing to undertake works for a new recreational development for the county.
The plan comprises the completion of a leisure route in Baylin.
The development aims to connect the Baylin Bog Trail and Carn Park Forest Walk through the construction of a boardwalk which measures 350m in length.
The plan also includes improvements to the existing facilities along the Baylin Bog Leisure Trail, as well as enhanced directional signs along public roads, and a safe pedestrian link between the two nature trails.
The proposed development has undergone screening for Ecological Impact Assessment under EPA guidelines.
