Leitrim County Council has given the green light for the development of an all-weather sports facility in Ballinamore. Ballinamore Area Community Council plan to develop the new pitch at Railway Road, Lahard.
The 3G multi-use surface project would also include the extension of an existing playground and construction of a new boundary fence. Council planners had sought more information on the project last month before giving the go ahead yesterday.
