A former Roscommon councillor is to stage a silent protest outside the library in Ballaghaderreen tomorrow.
Michael Scally, who's a local resident, says he's undertaking the protest to highlight the annoyance of people in the town at the continued closure of the library.
The facility has been closed for more than two years and it's been reported that the continued closure is due to necessary building works.
He says there's no good reason the library couldn't be re-opened until the planned works are due to take place next year.
