Around 40 retailers and residents staged a peaceful protest this morning in Ballaghaderreen against ongoing public realm works in the town.
Business people claim the project, which was given the go ahead by Roscommon County Council, will be detrimental to the local economy.

They say the removal of car parking spaces will result in a decrease in footfall and make the town a no-go area for delivery vehicles.
