Protestors in Castlerea are threatening to set up a 24-hour encampment outside apartments earmarked for refugees.
It comes as the Department of Integration confirmed this week that talks to house International Protection applicants are now at an advanced stage with property providers in the town.
Around 50 people attended a peaceful protest at the site last night while a further protest has been planned for Sunday afternoon.
One of the organisers of last nights protest has claimed those involved are willing to set up a full-time blockade at the apartment complex.
