A PSNI officer, and a now former officer, are set to be prosecuted after images were allegedly leaked from the scenes of sudden deaths.
It follows an investigation by the Northern Ireland Police Ombudsman.
The pair are to be prosecuted for alleged misconduct in public office.
It's understood that one of the officers has already been dismissed from the PSNI while the other is suspended from duty.
The Operation Morrick investigation examined a number of incidents including the alleged sharing of imagery taken at the scenes of sudden deaths.
A PSNI spokesperson said that the criminal investigation is being carried out by the police ombudsman, and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.
