The Irish public is being encouraged to dispose of their Christmas waste responsibly over the festive season.
Ireland is expected to generate 95,000 tonnes of packaging waste this festive season, according to figures released by Repak.
In Co Cavan, the civic amenity centres will open from 8am to 4.30pm from Wednesday, December 29th to Friday, December 31st.
The centres then close from Saturday, January 1st to Monday, January 3rd and return to normal opening times from January 4th but the Bailieborough site, which is usually closed on Tuesdays, will be in operation on this day.
Across Co Monaghan, the civic amenity sites open from 9am to 4pm from the 29th to the 31st of December.
The centres close from the 1st to the 3rd of January and re-open as normal on the 4th of January.
In Co Longford, the Drumlish site is open from 10am to 3pm from the 28th to the 30th of December.
It'll be closed between the 31st of December and the 3rd of January, and return to normal hours from the 4th of January.
The Westlink Civic Amenity site is open from 9am to 5pm on the 29th of December, closed on Saturday, January 1st, and returns to normal hours from January 5th.
The civic amenity sites in Co Leitrim are open as normal on Friday, December 31st but closed on Saturday, January 1st.
Lastly, in Co Roscommon, the civic amenity centres will open on the 28th of December and Tuesday, January 4th, before returning to normal opening hours.
