A Roscommon deputy has described the behaviour of the County Council as unacceptable over safety works carried out in Frenchpark.
Claire Kerrane called on the local authority to suspend works along the Boyle road in October after a new layout was constructed.
She claimed local residents were not consulted over the removal of parking and Roscommon County Council subsequently paused the works to carry out a review.
In a statement to Shannonside FM this week the local authority say following an external review of the proposed design in Frenchpark the Safety Improvement works will proceed with minor modifications.
However, the Sinn Fein representative claims despite giving the council over 30 contacts of those affected no-one was engaged with during the review process.
Deputy Kerrane says the works cannot proceed without public consultation.
