People living along the N4 between Carrick-on-Shannon and Dromod are being encouraged to make their views known about the proposed by-pass route.
The road has been prioritised for delivery under the National Development Plan from 2018-2027 and it's currently going through the early planning stages.
It's understood that a final route for the project may be selected by the end of this year and Phase 2 of the Public Consultation process has begun this week.
Members of the public who want to make their views known or who want to see what is planned are being asked to log onto the carrickdromod.ie website where they can find detailed and interactive maps.
Closing date for submissions and observations is on the 16th of June and local councillor Sean Mc Gowan says it's important that everyone who wants to can have a say in this process.
You can book an online consultation meeting using the website, or by calling Leitrim County Council on 071 96 20005.
